Welcome!
We wanted to let you know that our Council offers the best services for Veterans in the greater Falls Church area. As a Council we are the leader for Veteran Groups services and resources from the City of Falls Church, and the Veterans Administration of our nation. The Council is made up of Veterans' Post from the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Catholic War Veterans.
The GFCV Council web page is a great way to share information about our organizations which formed the veterans council in 2003 with the aid of several members of the Falls Church City Council and local veterans Posts. Originally, there were five posts which started the council, but that number has changed since the first ten years.
We have a lot to offer you. Our services and resources have raised the bar for many veterans and we’re sure you’ll be interested in taking part with us. They include: Veterans and Memorial Days services, flag raising and wreath laying, honor guard, parade floats, summer picnics, and holiday celebration dinners. The list doesn't stop there. We meet monthly for coordination of our events and organizational planning.
Veterans are always welcome here. Come in and chat with us. We’re really looking forward to serving veterans. Better yet, become an active participant.
